I’d let him keep going for a bit before glomping and having an hours long sloppy makeout. Paws ain’t really my thing, but I understand why other’s like ‘em, and I’m cool with that! I don’t draw any overt, in-you-face paw stuff, but there’s a subtle paw/dick rub in this picture~

FINALLY IT’S DONE! I’m so happy to finally have completed a comic, it feels really good to see something thru especially when you have to be self-motivated (since I wasn’t getting paid for this in any way.) There’s a lot of things I loved about working on this but honestly even more things I would have done differently. However, I think that’s a struggle for a lot of comic artists! We can’t always go back and redo everything to look better or we’ll exhaust ourselves.
I really wish I would have been more consistent, especially comparing page 1 to this page. I kind of just jumped in without planning and started doodling out he pages as I went which is really bad form. However I’m the kind of person who would rather just jump in than spend too much time planning. Doing your research and thumbnails is very important!! However at the same time, if you spend too much time planning, you don’t get to DOing. Most of what you learn about any craft is gained in practice, not theory.
So for new comic artists out there, definitely do your research! But don’t be scared to just hop in. Literally the WORST case scenario is you end up redoing it and that’s okay! Here’s to hoping my next comic is a bit more….organized, well planned, and consistent haha~
